Our Mission
S.R.K.M.P.S.M.S was established to inculcate a sense of discipline among children, to mould them into capable citizens with knowledge and wisdom. By making education affordable, we aim to uphold social values and develop society culturally, technologically and morally. We believe that education should take place in an inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all, and that all children should learn to value religious and cultural differences. The school should empower students to embrace learning and build their emotional, social and physical well-being. We will work to help students succeed today and be prepared for tomorrow.
About Our School
In 1916, P.S. High School (North) was founded to serve the education needs of the underprivileged children. It functioned as a middle school till 1962 and as a high school thereafter. It functioned as a government-aided school under the P.S. Educational Society, and celebrated its centenary in 2016.
In 2018, the school was merged with the P.S. Higher Secondary School (Mylapore). In 2003, a primary school was started and, in 2007, it was renamed as S.R.Kalyanaraman Memorial P.S. Nursery Primary School as required by our institutional donor, Kalyana Krishna Charitable Trust. Classes up to VIII Standard were introduced in 2018-19, and the school was renamed as S.R. Kalyanaraman Memorial P.S. Matriculation School. Again, 2021-22, classes up to X Standard were introduced. The school is planning to include higher secondary classes in the coming years.
